Earthfire Arts

a ceramic pottery painting studio and more

July 5- Sept 8. Opening Reception: 5 July, 6-8 PM,
Remembrances in Closing: 8 Sept. 6-8 PM

We are happy to announce that we are hosting an art show this summer called, "Skinner Box to Cosmos", exhibiting the works of Barbara Klatt.

"Barbara was born in Oklahoma then moved to Texas where life was not what she wanted. She reached for the stars....did a semester abroad in London where the music she loved came to life. David Bowie, T Rex, Iggy Pop, Roxy Music and so much more. She returned to college at UT Austin, where I met her and the punk music scene. In 1982 she moved here to SF where she explored her love for the cosmos by studying physicsShe painted from her personal strife, growing up in a stifling environment, and grew into her own amazing experiences. Personal encounters with extraterrestrial life allowed her to see into and paint about outer space and believe there is more out there. She lived life on her terms and eventually faced death on her own terms." - Vinita Levet

In honor of her life and art, we are hosting an Opening Reception on her birthday, July 5th from 6-8 PM. Please join us for some extraterrestrial art and refreshments.

On September 8, her friend Vinita's birthday we will host a closing reception "Remembrances in Closing" from 6-8 PM. We hope you can join us. Vinita and other friends will be talking about her art, her life and other pertinent issues.
